IDYP: Overseas Volunteering
Join us for a chat lead by VSA's Programme Manager for the Solomon Islands, Morgan Hanks, about overseas volunteering and how it can help you enter the international development sector. The Volunteer Service Abroad and similar programs like the U.S. Peace Corps are often used as a stepping stone to get the international, language, and volunteering experience that is often required by employers in the sector.
In this discussion, we'll not only touch on VSA's programmes overseas, including the experience of IDYP Board member, Matt Fowler, in Papua New Guinea, but we'll also touch on getting this experience in the current climate impacted by Covid-19.
